I didn’t have time. If I had gone at 45 instead of 54, the doctor would have clipped a polyp, and I would have been done. But I didn’t go. As a result, I suffered through 4 months of chemo, a long surgery and a recovery that’s still ongoing. But maybe, just maybe, I was supposed to go through all of that to get your attention. To get your attention like I have it right now. To make you pause. To make you think. To make you go to the doctor. To save your life. THAT is the real mission.
